• Please see below a note Dr Whitten received from Kareem Abdelfattah, Program Director-Department of Surgery:

I wanted to take a moment to send a note to say thank you to you and your Department for always being so collaborative and professional in every interaction I’ve had with your faculty.

In particular, Dr. Aditee Ambardekar has been incredibly helpful both clinically and administratively. I’ve been doing a significant amount of Burns work, and have had to call on her at all different times while on service, including multiple nights and weekends, and she is always available and willing to help out in any situation (specifically when we have pediatric patients come in, she has been a Godsend!). My partners on the burn service echo these accolades, and we are all in her debt for the number of times she has saved us from disaster.

On the administrative/educational side, it has been such a pleasure to have a GME colleague who is incredibly knowledgeable about every aspect of training, even outside of Anesthesiology. To have her be so willing to work through any issues that come up in a thoughtful manner is truly why I love working with her. She is rare among PDs on campus in being able to work together to make things better for both faculty and trainees.

I know we so rarely hear the positives about anybody, so felt that I should at a minimum pass something along.

Thanks for your time, and take care.

    Kareem Abdelfattah

The note above is a great testament to the Department in general and Aditee in particular. Aditee thanks for your efforts and all that you do to support our multiple missions.
